This is not a commercial website. It is for fun and will, hopefully, be of use to interested visitors.
In creating the site, I have used images taken through Google Images. I understand that Google scans the web and collects these images, whether or not they are subject to copyright.
I have tried, where possible, to select images known to be for the public use, but in many cases this sends me to images of people with animal names, cars, cartoons, places, buildings, pop groups, food and other bizarre images.
Photograph used within this site, once clicked, will lead directly to the site where I have found that photograph. Over time, I have discovered that many of the original links are no longer working - it's probable that there were time-constraints or the sites are no longer in existence, or the site's contents have changed, thus omitting the photographs in question. In a high percentage of cases, those sites are relevant to the animal in question ... and from which additional information is available.
I wish to acknowledge these great photographs and hope that The Smooth Guide is able to direct further traffic to the relevant sites. It is not the intention of The Smooth Guide to cause any distress to the owners of the images.
