COYOTES
- Look like domestic dogs.
- Will hunt in packs to hunt large prey - deer, for instance.
- Can sometimes be found to live in cities.
- They can be found in North America, Mexico and Panama.
- Live between 10-14 years in the wild.
- Eat just about anything - fruit, flowers, insects, rodents, birds and snakes.
- Have a keen sense of smell and hearing.
- Are great swimmers..
- Coyotes bark, growl, howl, wail, squeal and yelp.
- Can walk on tip-toe to make as little sound as possible.
- Can run at a speed of around 40 miles per hour.
- The main predators are humans, bears and wolves.
