Wolverine …
  • Are found throughout Canada, Europe, parts of North America and the Arctic Circle.  They live in forests and mountainous regions
  • Eat mice, rats and other small mammals, birds and eggs.  They prefer to scavenge the kills of other animals, such as wolves and bears  
  • Are the largest member of the weasel family
  • Are a near threatened species due to hunting and habitat loss
  • Are closely related to the weasel
  • Have large teeth, powerful jaws in order to crush bones and eat meat that has been frozen  
  • Have long, sharp and powerful claws to climb trees, catch prey and defend itself against its predators
